Loners, Losers, and Wallflowers: Part 1
Every youth ministry has loners, losers, and wallflowers. We may never describe them that way, but they certainly feel that way themselves sometimes. Deep inside their hearts they feel like a loser. A traumatic event in their past makes them a total loner. Their shyness or insecurity turns them into a wallflower. Think about that student in your ministry who feels like a loner or a loser right now. Think about the one who sneaks in at the last second and doesn’t participate or trust anyone. Here are a few reminders as you pray for them today.
TRUTH: Every teenager has value.
BUT…Many teenagers feels like they have none.

TRUTH: They Want to Talk About SEX!

God has trusted you with his precious children, and one of the biggest gifts you can give them is to help them know their value and identity in Christ. As you pray for that student today, ask God for opportunities to minister to them in creative ways and ask that he would heal them from the inside out. They have so much value in Christ and much to do for his kingdom, pray they won’t believe the lies of the devil today.
TRUTH: Every teenage has gifts for the kingdom.
BUT…Many teenagers feel like they’ve got little to offer.
Every student is gifted—many just don’t know it, won’t admit it, or don’t think it’s a gift God would use. You get the privilege of sharing God’s plan and purpose for their life!

There’s nothing more exciting than watching a wallflower student go from spectator to serving. Pray for that student who just sits and listens, and ask God for inroads to help them become kingdom contributors!
