The Fall Guy - Drama Scripture: Isaiah 53:4-12
4/24/2008
Setting: A high school. The characters, Adam, Jacob, Pete, Jesse and Judy are friends and have an opportunity to get a copy of the answers to a test. One of the students objects and ends up taking the blame. As the story unfolds, the students are surprised by what they learn about “the fall guy”, and by what they learn about themselves.
Notes: This drama is intended as an interpretational Scripture reading to be used in a worship context, and performed by HS/JR.High youths, preferably during Lent. If the players or audience are paying attention they will notice that the names are all symbolic. Jesse is the hero, so to speak, and can be played by male or female. A few obvious props are helpful but not necessary. Organ chime is helpful, or some kind of a low bell or gong to add impact to the final scene.
