This is a checklist to give your volunteers—a great reminder of what do do before their time with students:

4 P's Volunteer Checklist

1. I have PRAYED:

a. For my day, my students, Christ’s strength and love to flow through me.

2. I am PREPARED:

a. I checked my email BEFORE program to make sure there are no changes or updates for the day.

b. I read my schedule through.

c. I have read all curriculum and am prepared to teach it.

d. I have gathered all the materials I need for my class (craft supplies, copies, supplies for games).

e. I have thought of creative ways to get my students excited about Christ.

3. I have PONDERED:

a. If I do not know how to teach something, play a game, or complete anything in the schedule, I have taken the time to figure it out.

b. I will admit when I just don’t get it and will ask for help. I will also give feedback on things that are not working.

4. I have PROCESSED:

a. I will come back tomorrow with the answer to any questions that I could not answer for students today, or I will find someone with the answer.

b. I have sought out counsel for any student issues that are troubling me.
