How to Share Your Faith Using Flobots

“Flobots are a new phenomenon with an old soul.” ~~~Wide-Eyed Magazine
Heard of the new up and coming band Flobots, yet? If not, you will real soon. They are quickly rising to the top. The eclectic Denver based band has a deep passion for promoting revolutionary social and civic change. Their vision as a non-profit group is to motivate individuals through their music to institute change in the world surrounding them. They desire that their inspirational lyrics will mediate change, not only in their listeners, but in other bands as well.
Flobots’ music has a unique feel, offering a catchy, evolutionary blend of vivacious and colorful music with a powerful message. The sound and beat of their songs come dancing out to their audiences.
Flobots’ song Rise, speaks to the issue of anger, describing how it can spread like a terrible infection. They use gangrene as the vividly oozing description. Have you ever felt the anger inside you starting to fester and spread into the innermost corners of your being? Anger is a universal human emotion. One we all deal with on some level or other. So it’s no surprise that anger was a subject Jesus addressed for His followers. He encouraged us with His words to do two things. Read below:
Isn’t it interesting that Christ does not say, “Do not be angry?” He says that we can be angry, but challenges us to not sin in our anger. It is not anger itself that gets us into trouble; it is when we allow ourselves to seep in our anger. That’s when it festers and starts to taint our lives with its ugliness. The second part of that verse says to not let the sun go down on your anger. Why? Perhaps because once the sun is on its way down, our anger is on its way up.
In the lyrics of Rise, the Flobots lay bare the reality that we all DO have a tendency towards putrefying anger in our society, but then continue to articulate that we as a society, as a people, do NOT have to stay angry.
Using Flobots’ Rise as a springboard, try initiating conversation with those around you and share the Good News. Jesus Christ came to pave a new path for us. Through His sacrifice and blood, we can all rise up and live life to its fullest, in His presence and power.
Question to help you get started:
The last line in Rise says:
We as Christians DO believe in redemption and Christ is calling us from His dimension to make a difference in His name. So, a shout out to all you Christians out there! Let’s rise together and tell all those around us of Christ’s powerful message of the cross!

Conversation
You need to listen, read,
You need to listen, read, and research the topics from Flobots. Who I do love. You could say I'm from from that other dimension.
The call from the other dimension is to put our differences aside, to move for a tolerant peaceful future. The call is for help, to stop the division, to wake up and understand-- the lyrics portray what we face.
A War on Lies-- Look to the lyrics of Same Thing. Research all of the people who've been overthrown and assasinated. This is the process in which the CIA installs governments across the globe that fall into line with their plans for world government. Saddam would not be corrupted, and they failed at overthrowing him in the first war in Iraq. (Google: "Zeigeist" "Endgame" "Loose Change")
This is just a small fraction of what is going on in the world that Flobots portray.
This was a call...across the culture war lines...
TO WAKE UP!
Remember: Under God was added to the Pledge in the 50s to stir up fear of those cold blooded atheist commies in Russia. (Which is a whole new story these days.)
Our side is scary, we have 'atheists' and "sinners", but this is an observation of the cultural shift we have now.
rival gangsters sit down to plan an after-school program
a religious fanatic posts footage of an interfaith service project
a group of teenage boys watches a video of a father playing catch with his son
an adult film star paints thumbnail portraits of elderly couples, fully clothed and smiling
a record executive records a demo of his apology
a policeman makes reverse 911 calls instructing residents to take to the streets
a patriot reports for duty
she's wearing an orange jumpsuit and holding a picket sign
she's ashamed of her birthplace
but retreat is not an option
This call to those who believe in Redemption is to not let your FAITH divide us. Do not associate yourself with those jerks at the McCain/Palin rallies. (I'm independent by the way)That is the OTHER AMERICA---and its dying. It is not one nation UNDER GOD. It is one nation. Our nation. Your god is not my god (I'm more likely to believe in love vibrations than a diety) so how can we remain one nation if we are divided. Understand this.
Join us on our side. Where we want peace, and a better world, we know what we face. We want everyone here. Nobody's excluded.
If you're looking from calls from your messiah in music, check out this phenomenon. Matisyahu
I often wonder why those of faith have a hard time understanding the only real difference between most of the major religions is only a TRANSLATION ERROR in a millenia old game of telephone..
Your stories are the same.
Welcome to our America. This is the world we are building. Peace, love, and happiness shall endure over the most evil forces of the world.
