"Training Leaders, Who Train Leaders, Who Transform Youth"
Our Mission: For urban youth to have the leaders and role models they need to live transformed lives as God intends.
Our Vision: To train grassroots urban leaders with a focus in 250 of America’s at risk zip by 2015.
We do this by:
1. Certifying high capacity urban leaders in 250 of America’s at risk zip codes in the core competencies of urban youth leadership & ministry.
2. Training grassroots urban youth workers in leadership and practical ministry.
3. Training urban youth workers to more effectively engage and the impact youth in their communities.
News from the 2009 US Census has told us that over half of the US population is living in the city. At one time there was a definitive, “other side of the tracks,” this is no longer true. Areas that were traditionally “the suburbs” are now being “urbanized.” Whether churches are reaching out to those considered “at-risk” or they are coming to our door, working with youth is becoming a diverse population. Traditionally “urban” issues have crept into the suburbs and visa versa. As those who work with youth, it is our responsibility to understand our kids and the issues they face whoever they might be and however they enter our lives. It is our pleasure as an organization to provide training and resources, designed specifically for those struggling to define the urban context.
